*Applications to the Integration Fund are now closed.*
The Integration Fund is an outstanding program made to support a selection of developers by granting them funds to develop local modules. What for? Complete PrestaShop Addons catalogue with the essential modules of each country. The fund is based on a success model: the developer is financed in advance, and pays back the amount as the module generates sales.
Here are a few examples of the developers who were selected to get their module funded and are now enjoying the sales of their local module on our Addons platform!
"The Integration Fund is a great project. The main advantage is that it takes the financial stress away which is helping you to focus on the development. Furthermore if you get funded PrestaShop promotes your module visually in the shop and via email. PrestaShop's community should take advantage of it."

"The integration fund is a great opportunity for the PrestaShop community. It reduces the risk of developing a module and allows to develop more meticulous and functional modules for merchants. This is all the more relevant in countries where PrestaShop is not prevailing. Here in Brazil, the funded modules will indeed help to make PrestaShop more local and more competitive."

We will fund as top priorities the regional and country-specific modules. In one word: be local!
Payments & Gateways
A good e-shop allows its customers to pay with their favorite solution. Payment is one of the most heterogeneous dimensions of ecommerce: universal solutions exist (e.g. PayPal) but they are necessary and not sufficient. We are constantly in the need of payment modules that satisfy specific markets with specific habits.
Shipping & Delivery
Although it is not the merchant’s core business, a major part of the customer satisfaction goes through the shipping experience. Hence the importance of offering the adequate delivery services. Once again, this is a local business, sectors and markets have their own specificities: you do not ship a jewel the same way you ship a tyre. Therefore, offering a large variety of shipping modules is a must.
Marketplace & Affiliation Platforms
One of the big deals for an e-shop is to gain traffic and visibility. Visibility is mainly driven by the website’s referencing, and in e-commerce the best referenced websites are the major marketplaces. They can be global (e.g. Amazon or eBay) or local, but they are essential elements of the ecosystem. Merchants should be able to find a module connecting to any marketplace.
E-commerce may be based on the universality of the web, an e-shop still remains linked to a physical reality, a country, with specific regulations. That’s why a merchant will always need tools to reduce the time spent on red tape and focus more on developing his business and serving his customers. We can definitely improve the catalogue on these issues all over the world.
Once you have a local module idea, follow these steps.
Fill in the application form to explain us why your project is a real pain-killer, in which precise countries it makes sense and why you are the best candidate to develop this module

After technical and marketing validation your module is released on our Addons platform :)
