- Manage the display of products on the "news products" block:

It is the creation date of a product that defines whether this product is considered or not as a novelty and if the product will be display in the “novelty block” on the home page. By changing the product creation date, you can manage the display of products on this block. You can leave a product longer in novelty, sort products as you want or just not show a new product you don’t want in this block.

- Choose if a product will have the "novelty" banner:

It is the creation date that defines whether a product must have a novelty banner on the product miniature. By changing this date you can choose to display this banner.

- Manage the display of products on category page:

By default the products are sorted on the category page by date of creation, with the latest products in first position. By changing the creation date of a product you can choose artificially its position on the category page. You can put the product you want ahead, or in the last position a product that is not essential...

- Allows you to put forward an old product that you modified slightly or with an update

The product date of creation manages the display of new products and the sorting of products on the category pages of your prestashop store. This date is automatically assigned at the creation of a product: this is the date when you actually created this product!

It is not possible to change this date from the prestashop backoffice.

This module allows you to simply change this date by giving the date you want to easily manage the news and the sorting of products.

- After installation, the module creates a "product date" link in your back office under the "catalog" tab. By clicking on the link you will have access to the module page.

- Choose the products you want to change the date. You can choose one or several products at the same time.

- Once the products selected you can change the date by choosing a new date on the calendar

- The new date will be assigned to the product. The original creation date and the changes are conserved and you can have a look at it.
