Shipping plays a very important role in making any eCommerce business successful. It is one of the very essential components that have the capacity to make or break the game. Any flaw or constraints arising in it would ultimately affect the service quality of the eCommerce shop. Therefore, it becomes even more important to provide fast delivery of the products at a reasonable price. Now, let’s see what are those components of shipping that can considerably create an effect on the overall serviceability of shipping carriers. Before we move any further, let me clarify that all these components can be suitably configured in the module too.
Price: The very first things that a customer takes into account before opting for shipping is price. Even before, he/she accounts have a glance over the delivery time. So, to ease the process & configure it to offer the best prices of shipping to your customers around the world, we have provided to add shipping charges for each & every country separately. If you are also planning to provide free shipping to your customer, then it would be like a cherry on the cake. And, we have offered that in the module as well.
Define shipping charges using CSV file: To ease the process & take things to next level, we have also given an option to add shipping charges for multiple zones & countries using a CSV file. Defining all the components in a CSV file will allow you to add multiple shipping rates in one go. This will also remove the process of manually adding the shipping charges one by one.
Apart from the above, there are some other noteworthy features that merchant gets on installing the module:
- Define different shipping rates for different carriers based on continent, countries, states, cities & zip codes.
- Choose to show free shipping for the default address or all addresses of customers.
- Choose to show/hide free shipping based on the IP address of the customer.
- Customize popup block, banner & information block showing all the information about shipping rates as per need.
- Add shipping rates by importing a CSV file containing all the details.
- Download info of all the shipping rates by exporting the CSV file.
- Choose to show banner, popup & information block on various pages.
- Link geocoding API with the module to validate zipcodes through geocoding.
- Choose to add shipping rates considering price, weight or both.
- Choose to show info about exceeding or deficit amount or both to avail free shipping on the order.
- Add zipcodes or zipcode ranges under the zipcode section in order to easily define shipping rates for them.
- Add zip codes by importing a CSV file.
Installatie
- Go to the back office-> modules -> Upload a module
- Upload zip file of ‘Prestashop Shipping Rates’
- The module will automatically get installed on your Prestashop
