  • Omnichannel selling: RockPOS helps connecting your online and physical stores and allows you to control your business on different channels by using only one system. By synchronizing from products to orders or customers, you can view all transactions on all channels at one place at the same time, which would save you time and effort as well as improve your customers’ experience. For example, real-time updated stock enable you to know whether or not stock left is enough to make another order
  • Shorten check out process: You wouldn’t want to spend too much time on making one order but rather “serve fast to serve more”, would you? You now can complete an order within only few clicks thanks to a neat and user-friendly design of RockPOS. In addition, RockPOS also can be connected with various hardware devices (eg: barcode scanners, receipt printers, etc.) to make the transactions go smoothly and fast.
You are now also able to let customers return/exchange products if they want. Not only the returned orders being recorded but also stock will be updated automatically.
  • Save money and time: Running online and physical shop now can be done within only 1 system because RockPOS made like a built-in module to your PrestaShop back office. There’s no extra software needed, no special training needed because RockPOS is built to be a complete POS with neat and simple design so that anyone can use it with ease. You’ll need maximum 30 mins to train yourself and your staffs how to use RockPOS and they’re confident to serve customers.

  • RockPOS has 2 separate screens which keeps you focus on what you’re doing. Sell screen is mainly for cashiers or salesman who’re responsible for making sales in-store. Whereas Manage screen is for managers who work on setting up system and manage shops from behind. By splitting into 2 screen, cashiers/salesman can fully focus on their work and won’t be able to access to back office to make unplanned changes.
  • Add products to shopping cart by multiple ways: search, scan barcode, and pick from a filtered product list. If scanning barcode saves you lots of time, picking products from filtered list makes it convenient for you if you’re selling products without barcode (eg: food and drinks, etc.). You can also set up default categories to show in the list to save you time when making orders.
  • Custom sale: if the product is not in the system, you can create and add a new one to cart in seconds with custom sale feature.
  • Adjust shopping cart: you can change product quantity by 1 click or easily change to another combination and/or add new combination of current product to cart without searching for it again.
  • Customize product: if you enable product customization in back office, you’ll be able to add custom fields on the product in RockPOS.
  • Display product name in 1 or more different languages in shopping cart (and receipt). This feature is useful for you if you’re selling in a country that has 2 or more official languages. By showing product names by different languages, your customers will know which products they bought and would be easier for future reference.
  • Show stock: you’d be able to see stock number of product or combination before and after adding to cart.
  • Guest checkout is available if you don’t want to collect customer info and to speed up checkout time.
  • Associate a customer with order by typing his name, email, etc… (no matter whether he registered online or in-store), or by creating a new profile in a few seconds.
  • Reward with loyalty points: If you’re using a loyalty module (Loyalty and reward - for PrestaShop 1.6; All-in-one reward module), then you’ll be able to continue collecting points and convert earned points into monetary value for future uses.
  • Give discounts: you can give discounts on individual product or on whole order as well as choose to discount by certain %, amount or voucher code. Moreover, let’s say you give discount by % more often than the other 2 types, you can set up % as your default discount to save you time switching between discount types when making order.
  • Choose shipping: depends on how many shipping methods you set up in back office, you’ll be able to switch between those methods before completing order. Shipping fee is applied accordingly as well as you’re free to add custom fee to pick-up in-store method if needed. Default method can also be set up on demand.
  • Add note: if there’s a special requirement from customer or a notice you want other employee to know, simply add a note to the order before completing it. You can also choose to keep it as private note or display it on receipt/invoice.
  • Record salesman performance: if you have more than 1 salesman, this feature is for you. By switching to relevant salesman before completing order, the order will be assigned to the salesman which makes it easy for you to follow his performance and reward him if you want.
  • Enable multiple currencies: this is a useful feature if you accept different currencies in your store. You can switch between currencies while serving customers then the right currency will apply to order at the right rate.
  • Flexible payments: full payment, partial payment or pre-order are available and can be flexibly used based on your needs. You can decide to skip recording payment also (handy if you only accept 1 type of payment and don’t need to record it) which would save you 1 step.
  • Multiple payment methods are supported and new methods can be added anytime. Even if your customers want to split payments between them, there’s no need to create order for individual but rather make 1 order and let them pay the amount the want by whichever method you support. RockPOS allows you to accept multiple payment methods on the same order.
  • Put order on hold is available and it’s very useful if you’re in middle of creating an order but need to delay to process another order first. By 1 click, you can put that order on waiting list and you can open the held order anytime you want, just by 1 click, again.
  • Return/exchange products: process returning product can be complicated in some systems, but with RockPOS, you can easily search for the order that contains returned product by customer name, order ID or order reference; then process return and stock will be updated automatically. Especially order reference is printed on receipt in the form of barcode, you can scan it to quickly find the right order for return. All these step doesn’t even take 30s.
  • Connect with different hardware: RockPOS supports different hardware devices (barcode scanner, receipt printer, etc.) to make it easier for you while making order.
  • View order history: list of orders is displayed neatly where you can filter by time, customer name, status, etc. You can also view order in detailed as well as complete payment (applied for pre-order or partial payment orders), change order status or print receipt/invoice again.
  • View dashboard: this is where the overview of your sales within a chosen time displays as well as list of your top products sold and top salesman who made the most sales.
  • Sales report: this is where you can see how your business performs in details based on a chosen time. Report can also be saved as PDF for future reference.
  • Commission report: if you have more than 1 salesman, this report shows how much each salesman makes and relevant rewarded money they get based on your set up of commission rate.
  • Design your own receipt by drag & drop custom fields into preview section as well as print out a draft version to see how your receipt looks in real.
  • Create custom URL for Sell page and give it to your staffs for security reason. Your staffs then won’t need to login into back office to go to sell page anymore.

Installation

Follow these steps for installation and first time setup to have best start with RockPOS:
  • Log in your PrestaShop back office
  • Locate to Modules and services => Module and servicesUpload 
  • RockPOS and click install.
  • After RockPOS installed, you should be able to see “RockPOS” tab on your left list.

    For first time setup: 
    These setups can be done in Manage page. All basic setups are defaultly set and can be adjust if you want; but there’s 1 important step you need to take to make products ready for sell:
  • From your back office, go to RockPOS => Manage => Set up
  • Index your products using 1 of these ways:
    • Add missing products to the index: adding newly added products to your system (recommended!)
    • Re-build the entire index: index ALL products, including current products and newly added products (it is useful when you have new products added as well as you do some changes on current products)
    • Set up a cron job (it is recommend to ask a developer to do this method for you if you don’t have technical knowledge)After these steps, you’re all set to start making the first sales.
