1. Introduction - introduces PrestaShop 1.7, new architecture implementation and
coding standards:
  • Introduction to new PrestaShop architecture and Symfony framework[1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] 
  • Getting familiar with new features in the back office of PrestaShop 1.7 (controllers, forms, doctrine entities, routing)
  • Coding with PSR standards and best practices in mind

2. Development - covers new features that are available for PrestaShop module developers. From simple module creation to extending back office pages:
  • Setting up Composer for module development
  • Learning how to configure module autoloader and it's service definition
  • Discovering Symfony components in module development[9] 
  • Customizing back office forms from modules using new hooks[10] [11] 
  • Extending back office pages from modules using Twig

3. Advanced development
  • Going further with dependency injection and service definition when developing modules
  • Developing modules using Symfony controllers (feature is expected to be released in PrestaShop 1.7.5[12] )
  • Introducing Doctrine and QueryBuilder
  • Creating Symfony commands from modules
  • Testing module using PHPUnit

4. Contributing - covers contribution guide, that includes forking PrestaShop,
making changes to it and submitting a Pull request
  • Contributing to PrestaShop using Github
