Inline translation offers the possibility to edit translations from the frontend of your webshop.

What this product does for you

Have you ever wanted to edit a translation, but you had no idea which sentence to translate in the backend? Then Inline translation is perfect for you.
The module highlights all translatable phrases in your frontend and you can change them with one click.

Easy access to translatable sentences from your frontend.
The module translates all phrases that you could otherwise translate via localization -> translations in the backoffice.

Support and updates

You automatically get 3 months of support for this product.

For 90 days after your purchase, you can enjoy technical and feature support, as well as access to updates available for this product.

Always disable cache and set template compilation to force compile when using the module
(settings can be found in  advanced preferences > performance)

The module will use the current theme's translation files if these files are available. If your current theme does not have custom translations, the module will use the standard translation files
Known limitations
  • The module cannot translate buttons ( eg. input type="submit" ). Button-styled links are no problem.
  • You cannot translate alt or title tags from links or images, only plain text
Problem : "I can't see my translation after refreshing the page"
Solution : Make sure the translations and module directories are writable.

Problem : There are a lot of strange characters (lots of ### ) on the screen
Solution : check if there are any javascript errors caused by other modules that prevent the execution of the inline translation javascript

Problem : "My site is broken after I uninstall the module"
Solution : Clean your cache, set your performance setting to "Force compile" and load your website again. The problem should be gone. You may switch off force compile after your website works again.
