Features

The migration module provide the import from osCommerce to PrestaShop for data and pictures for:
- categories
- products
- customers*
- addresses
- orders
- manufacturers
- suppliers

* The passwords for customers in both systems (osCommerce and PrestaShop) are not stored in the database. During the registration process the both system use an encryption algorithm to create a key(hash) of a password. That hash is stored in database. From that hash there is no way to decrypt passwords. Fortunately we include the encryption algorithm from osCommerce in our module so osCommerce hashes can be used to login in PrestaShop. As soon an old customer perform the login opperation the password hash is saved in PrestaShop database, so next time regular PrestaShop login system is used.

Recommendation

You need to have the possibility to put on the same MySQL server both databases: osCommerce and PrestaShop
After migration is complete, we recommend to minimize the import console

What's New in Version 1.7.1(05/09/2017)

  • fix compatibility with Prestashop database changes starting with v.1.7.1.0
