Requirements :
Good knowledge of HTM, CSS and JavaScript. Knowledge of jQuery and responsive design.

The course is online
The course is led by a PrestaShop expert, approved by PrestaShop.
LEARNING METHODS
The course is online with a PowerPoint presentation.
Plenty of time has been allowed for questions and answers, so that all participants have a perfect understanding of the functions they will be using in their day-to-day work.
PROGRAM
1. Introduction - introduces PrestaShop 1.7, new architecture implementation and
coding standards:
2. Development - covers new features that are available for PrestaShop module developers. From simple module creation to extending back office pages:
3. Advanced development
4. Contributing - covers contribution guide, that includes forking PrestaShop,
making changes to it and submitting a Pull request
DURATION
1 day (7 hours of training per day*)
*1hour lunch break included and 5 minutes break every hour
Hours: 9.00 am to 5.00 pm (Paris time zone: GMT+2)

- Introduction to new PrestaShop architecture and Symfony framework
- Getting familiar with new features in the back office of PrestaShop 1.7 (controllers, forms, doctrine entities, routing)
- Coding with PSR standards and best practices in mind
2. Development - covers new features that are available for PrestaShop module developers. From simple module creation to extending back office pages:
- Setting up Composer for module development
- Learning how to configure module autoloader and it's service definition
- Discovering Symfony components in module development
- Customizing back office forms from modules using new hooks
- Extending back office pages from modules using Twig
3. Advanced development
- Going further with dependency injection and service definition when developing modules
- Developing modules using Symfony controllers (feature is expected to be released in PrestaShop 1.7.5 )
- Introducing Doctrine and QueryBuilder
- Creating Symfony commands from modules
- Testing module using PHPUnit
4. Contributing - covers contribution guide, that includes forking PrestaShop,
making changes to it and submitting a Pull request
- Contributing to PrestaShop using Github
